Paint Shop Assistant – Sherburn Depot

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working hours:  Mon – Fri, 40 hours.

Job Function: To ensure company Units are prepared for painting to the required company standard.

Reporting to: Depot Manager.

Liaising with: Painter, Valeters, Yard Operatives.

The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the importance of excellent service.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the exterior of the Units are clean prior to commencing work.
  • To fill, sand down and prepare bodywork.
  • To carry out quality checks.
  • Maintain required stock levels of all paint and preparation products via Depot Manager.
  • Ensure that the company’s health and safety policy and procedures are adhered to in relation to all depot operations.
  • Follow company’s Employee handbook policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties requested by your manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent time keeping & attendance.
  • Ability to work alone or as a team.

Through the partnership, Kelling Group will provide financial support, as well as engage in hands-on conservation efforts alongside the Trust to promote wildlife protection, habitat restoration and biodiversity across the region. The partnership aims to strengthen the Trust’s ongoing projects, which include safeguarding vital habitats, reintroducing endangered species and tackling the effects of climate change on local ecosystems.
