IPAF STATIC BOOM (1B) OPERATOR TRAINING
Why complete your training with us?
As the UK’s market leading provider of MEWPs for hire and lease, we are giving delegates the opportunity to carry out their training on the specific vehicle type they will be operating out on site, allowing them to familiarise themselves with the vehicle, ultimately saving cost and time for the company.
Specialising in providing Van Mounted MEWPs means that our trainers have extensive knowledge of how to safely and effectively operate the vehicle, avoiding any common operator errors which can lead to MEWP failure and damage.
Static Boom (1b) Licence Information
The 1b licence allows for the operation of
MEWPs where the centre of the platform
can reach beyond the footprint of the work
base but the MEWP cannot travel with the
work platform elevated. This includes
vehicle mounted access platforms.
IPAF Certification
Successful training delegates will receive an IPAF certificate and Powered Access Licence (PAL) card which is valid for 5 years. PAL cards will be distributed using the IPAF ePAL app which can be downloaded on mobile devices. IPAF’s ePAL app allows users to record their operating experience on powered access machines through the digital logbook, giving you an overview of the times spent operating machines. The physical IPAF PAL card can be provided at an additional cost if required – this must be requested at the time of booking.
Who should attend the training?
The IPAF 1b static boom training course is designed for those looking to learn how to operate MEWPs across a variety of platforms and for the renewal of IPAF (PAL) cards.
IPAF promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide. To ensure candidates are trained appropriately, the course will consist of classroom based tutorials, demonstrations, practical and written test.
