About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable and customer-focused Van Driver to join our Welfare Hire depot in Huntingdon.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the professional, timely delivery and collection of our welfare vans to and from customer sites — helping to keep major infrastructure and construction projects running smoothly across the region.
Reporting to the Depot Manager, you’ll work closely with our Depot Team and Hire Desk Administrators to make sure each hire is handled safely, efficiently, and to our usual high standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting welfare vans to and from customer sites safely and on time.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
- Ensuring manufacturer service intervals and maintenance standards are met.
- Preparing vans for hire — including valeting, testing, and inspection.
- Following all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate paperwork and communication with depot and office teams.
- Representing Welfare Hire professionally with customers on-site.
- Supporting with any other duties requested by your Manager.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar driving or delivery role.
- At least 2 years’ driving experience on a full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong planning and journey management skills.
- Great attention to detail and pride in your work.
- A polite, professional, and positive attitude.
